1. What is the process to make a booking at Borneo Gaya Backpackers Lodge?

2. If I want to make an immediate booking, what should I do?
Yes. However, these bookings will be treated as walk in guests and subjected to our terms and conditions with different rates.
3. When do I pay and what is the method of payment?
Once you received a room availability confirmation, then you may make payment by telegraphic transfer (TT), cheques and bankdrafts. Bank charges incurred are to be borne by the guest. Booking is only confirmed once the transaction of currency is done and we will email you the booking reference

4. Is there any security deposit?
Yes. Security deposit is required upon check-in. This Security Deposit is FULLY refundable at the end of your stay if there are no losses or damages to property.
5. If I make my reservation by the net, must I print out my booking reservation?
It is advisable to print out your booking reservation for check-in. If you don't have a print out of your reservation, you have to show the booking confirmation number at the Reception Desk and to provide your identification.
6. Is there any group rate for long stay in a group of about 20 persons?
Yes, we have group rates for long stay of 2 weeks or more. Please email or contact us for a quotation
7. Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, you may cancel your booking in writing. The terms and conditions for cancellation are at the website.
8. What is the Check-In date should I book if I arrive at midnight?
Our Check-In time is at 14:00 hours and Check-Out time is 12:00 hours. If you arrive at 3 AM on Oct 5, you need to book
your room for Oct 4 and the rest of days.
9. How I may reach Borneo Gaya Lodge?
Upon arrival at KK International Airport or Air Asia Airport, you may buy taxi coupon in the taxi coupon counter.
You may tell the taxi driver that our Borneo Gaya Lodge is in Gaya Street and also remind the taxi driver that our lodge is in the same block with Alliance Bank. Otherwise, you may show them our address.

Upon arrival at Island Ferry Terminal, you may walk to our lodge within 10-12 minute.
Take a right turn and walk towards city centre along Jalan Pantai (Beach Street) passing Grand Port View Restaurant and Standard Chartered Bank. Then turn left right and walk straight ahead. Little Italy is on your right hand. Go straight and across the road to Maybank Berhad (on your right hand). Go straight to another block and turn right. When you reach 23 Coffee shop, you may go up from the staircase besides 23 Coffee shop. We are there in the first floor.
10. Do you have parking facilities?
No. We are not providing any parking facilities but there are public parking facilities available along the Gaya Street.

14.Does the lodge provide additional or have extra beds available?
Yes.
15. Is there room service in the Hotel?
Borneo Gaya Backpackers Lodge operates a no frills concept, therefore there is no room service available.
16. Do the rooms come with a telephone, television, safety box facilities?
Borneo Gaya Backpackers Lodge operates a sharing concept, therefore there are no telephones, television, safety facilities in the rooms. However, you may have the above service in our front desk and living rooms.
17. Do I have to clean my room? Are there housekeeping facilities?
No, you are not required to clean your room. There are housekeeping facilities on a daily basis.
18. Do your lodge arrange tour package?
Yes, we can arrange tour package. We highly recommend a 3 months advance booking for this popular package such as Mt. Kinabalu package. |
